Terms of Service — Tap Sopo

Welcome to Tap Sopo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Tap Sopo is operated by MimiByte ("we," "us," or "our") and is currently in early release.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tap Sopo. If you use Tap Sopo on behalf of a business, nonprofit, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, your slug, and all activity on your Grid.
Keep your password secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
One person or organization per account; do not impersonate others.

3. Slugs and listings

Slugs (tapsopo.com/your-slug) are unique and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Slugs that infringe trademarks, impersonate people or brands, or are used in bad faith may be reassigned at our discretion. Unclaimed business listings can be claimed by the verified owner via our claim flow.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Post unlawful, deceptive, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit content.
Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or sponsorship.
Scrape, spam, or attempt to disrupt the service or other users.
Use Tap Sopo to violate any applicable law or third-party right.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Free plans are available without payment. Paid plans (Supporter, Local, Featured, Flagship) renew monthly until canceled.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.
You can cancel any time from Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. NFC card fulfillment is subject to availability and reasonable lead times.
We may change prices with at least 30 days notice; existing subscribers keep their price for the current billing cycle.

6. User content

You retain ownership of the content you publish on Tap Sopo. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate the service (including in the directory, the Grid, and shared profile cards).

7. Service availability

Tap Sopo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. As an early-release product, features may change, break, or be removed. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, or expose us to legal risk. After termination, we will delete your data as described in our Data Policy.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tap Sopo and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) $100 USD.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of Tap Sopo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
