Data Policy

This Data Policy describes how Tap Sopo stores, secures, and lets you control the data tied to your account and your Grid. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What we store

  • Profile data: slug, display name, category, bio, location, links, avatar.
  • Grid data: follows, connections, taps, check-ins, and community interactions.
  • Account data: email, authentication tokens, account role, role memberships.
  • Subscription data: plan, status, renewal date. Card data is held by Stripe.

2. Where it lives

Data is hosted on managed infrastructure (Supabase / Cloudflare) in encrypted databases. Connections to Tap Sopo are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Row-level security policies scope every read and write to the appropriate owner or admin.

3. How long we keep it

  • Active accounts: as long as you keep the account open.
  • Canceled subscriptions: account stays on Free; data remains until you delete it.
  • Deleted accounts: profile and Grid data are removed within 30 days; backups expire within 90 days.
  • Billing records: retained as required by tax and accounting law.

4. Your rights

  • Access — request a copy of your data.
  • Correction — edit your profile in-app, or email us for account-level fixes.
  • Deletion — delete your profile from your dashboard, or email us to wipe the full account.
  • Portability — request an export of your profile and Grid in machine-readable form.
  • Objection — opt out of non-essential analytics by emailing us.

5. Security practices

  • Least-privilege database access with row-level security on every public table.
  • Secrets stored in managed secret stores — never in source code.
  • Payment processing delegated to Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1).
  • Webhook signatures verified before any state changes.

6. Breach notification

In the event of a confirmed data breach affecting your account, we will notify you by email and post a notice in-app within 72 hours of confirmation, along with the steps we are taking.
